The traje campero (Spanish country suit) is the traditional attire of the Andalusian countryside, originating from horsemen and cattle ranchers of southern Spain. It includes garments such as the traje de corto (short jacket with braiding and high-waisted trousers), the Cordoban suit, the goyesca jacket, and the calzona with decorative metal fringes. It is worn at ferias, pilgrimages, El Rocío, equestrian shows and traditional Andalusian events by both men and women.
For men, the traje de corto is the centrepiece: a fitted short jacket with buttons and high-waisted trousers, made in cotton, wool or blends. For women, the goyesca jacket (with shoulder pads and embroidery) paired with an amazona skirt or calzona is the most elegant option. Children’s suits replicate the adult cut at scale. Prices range from €32 for children’s sizes to over €600 for complete men’s or women’s outfits in premium fabrics.
At FlamencoExport we offer 92 campero garments for men, women and children: traje de corto suits, goyesca jackets, calzonas with metal fringes, amazona skirts and country jackets. All shipped directly from Spain worldwide.
