Estrella Morente and The Argentinian ballet of Julio Bocca will shine in the 51. edition of the Festival Cueva in Nerja.

Estrella Morente This is the 51. edition of this competition with a program that includes the tango company of Julio Bocca and the ballet of the National Theater from Praga. The International Festival of Music and Dance of the Cueva de Nerja, the most veteran and genuine of the Malaga region, is living its 51. edition with the presence of Estrella Morente and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Spanish Radio Television (RTVE).

Julio Bocca This contest is overcoming half a century of life after celebrating, last year, its golden jubilee with the star performences of the Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat, and of the tenor José Carreras. This competition keeps its usual level and program: a varied and diverse program, with a Spanish and flamenco artist, a classical dance company, a ballet and a symphonic musical concert. The president of the Royal Academy of San Telmo, Manuel del Campo admitted that "in the current circumstances of crisis this was a hard mission, eveb if I believe that we obtained sufficiently." Like this the performences of Estrella Morente (with a flamenco and very personal show) will open the contest next Tuesday, July 13., and then, in a chronological order, the Argentinian classical ballet company of Julio Bocca (Wednesday, July 14.), the stars and soloists of the National Theater Ballet of Prafa (Thursday 15. and Saturday 17. of July) and the Symphonic Orchestra of the RTVE (Firday, July 16.). All the shows will start at 22.00 in the emblematic and magical Sala del Ballet, as ususal. The participation of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Spanish Radio Television forced the organizers to bring forward the regular dates of the festival, generally celebrated during the third week of the month of July.
