Maria Pages, Dance National Award in 2002, will be in charge launching the Festival next January 30. with "Flamenco y Poesía", a show that will pay tribute to the Portuguese writer José Saramago. The artist will dance for the popular poetry but laso for the anonymous poets.The "flamenco fusion" will also be present with Kiko VEneno (February 19.) and Martirio (February 20.). Kiko Veneno, great representative of the flamenco-rock, visit the Palau to present his last work "Dice la gente". An eclectic show with flamenco references.Next day it will be Martirio who will be on stage, in the Iturbi Room, to celebrate her 25. anniversary live. The singer will perform her greatest hits. The copla, the bolero, the tango, the jazz, the flamenco and the tumbao will be mixed. Martirio will offer an intimate show, the reflection of her feelings.Diana Navarro will make her debut during this festival, on February 26. Spanish singer, considerated as one of the best voices of the copla, will present "for the first time" her flamenco singer facet. A young singer who published her first work in 2005, "No te olvides de mi".We will close this XV. edition of the Flamenco Festival, the "Tribute to Manzanita", on Februray 27. with "Con piel de Manzana", first disc of José Ortega, son of Manzanita, on which he compiles the greatest hits of his father, such as "Un ramito de violetas", "Verde, que te quiero verde", "Gitana", "Por tu ausencia", without loosing the original essence of each song but with his personal touch.Close by Ortega have collaborated artists such as David de María, Diego Amador, Motse Cortés, Guadiana or Chambao. According to Serna, Estrella Morente was invited but after the recent death of her father, the singer Enrique Morente, her presence is not confirmed at this time.
