Description

Study of the cajon as an alternative and complement of drums because of the similarity of its sound with the bass drum and the drum. All the technique, basic patterns and variants accompanied by music and other percussions. Themes will be completed applying all the subjects studied. There are many video and audio options available.

Dany Moreno propouse the cajon as an alternative and complement of a drum kit, dose not want the cajon to be a substitute but an alternative for the performances in small venues where using the drums becomes a problem of room. Besides we can take advantage of the similar low-high sound that shares the cajon's with the drum and the bass drum.

The method consists in a DVD + a book and it´s structured in three parts:

1 .- Cajon Technique and exercises

2 .- Study of the patterns and variations of styles from Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, Songo, Afro, Guaguanco, Merengue, Reggae, Samba, Reggaeton.

3 .- Musical themes mixing all patterns studied

In each part there are multiple video and audio options, showing in detail all percussion instruments used and the choice of audio depending on the instrument you want to follow, or the combination of them all.
