Description

A dangerous and innovative proyect: 10 classical reinterpreted with the flamenco art by the great performers of the genre. An innovative recording without a doubt.
An album where five different recording studies, 30 technicians and musicians, four cities and ten different ways of understanding pop classics have been involved. The pieces were adjusted to the flamenco art with the voices of the most prominent artists available today within the genre. A risky yet breackthrough project it is a new step in the evolution flamenco has experienced within recent years. It breaks molds due to its innovation and the revolutionary spirit of all its artists, whom although eclectic are united by the same wish: for flamenco to become known and reach a great audience... and they trully achieve it!
There is also room in Territorio Flamenco for cheerful interpretation in lull times. There is a specific and intense reminiscence of Lola Flores and La Paquera by the muse Remedios Amaya. Never the less, the most randy instance of self proclamation by ladies' man Rancapino veteran 'tizná' voice in "Bésame mucho" when ole is said in the middle of a compromising whisper. This is before the youngest daughter of Tomatito, Ángele, produces a refined and sparkling of Police. Attention, it is discovery. La Susi, a master of rhythm, tears along with ángel a very well brought adaptation of another one of Sting's pieces. José Mercé lends his figure to our dear Pablo's 'El breve espacio en que no está.' Carmen Linares, first lady cantaora, proves yet again that she knows what she sings in her bombastic interpretation of 'Se equivocó la paloma.' Miguel Poveda, who grows artistically in geometric proportions, gives us a perfect and moving tangazo. Arcángel is almost delirious when he leaves us an blended bulero remembrance of Miguel de Molina. Smiles and tears: 'Hello Dolly' and 'Nostalgias,'interpreted by Diego Carrasco and his impregnating rhythm and the sonic splendor of Estrella Morente.
