Red and white grained fiberglass castanets for professional are handmade by Castañuelas del Sur.

Castañuelas del Sur is a company based in Seville and founded by the master craftsmen Juan and José Vela Hernández, sons of Manuel Vela « Filigrana ».

These castanets are made of paper layers coated in a specific resin, a material that gives them a very powerful sound. These castanets are recommended for outdoor performances and for teachers who want to be heard above their students while practising.

Very Important: The colour of the case may NOT be the same as in the picture.

All castanets made by Castañuelas del Sur are engraved according to their use. These are the three lines:
